Alex was born on December 12, 1956, in Homestead, PA. He went to Blairsville High School (class of 74), and graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University of Pa. in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Political Science. He was a writer, gifted cartoon artist, film maker, film critic, religious scholar, and he loved to sing. In the 1980s and 90s Alex worked for 12 years as a computer assisted draftsman, after which he devoted his life to writing full time. Alex had a love for music and movies, but most of all he loved spending time with his father at the family farm in Blairsville.
This video is a slide show of family photos and home movies of Alex through the years. The footage of Blairsville from the early 1970s was filmed by Alex himself. The soundtrack is a playlist of his favorite music.
